What is in-office teeth whitening?
It is a teeth whitening method applied in the clinic. It is a suitable method for patients with time constraints. The application time is shorter than other methods. The whitening gel is applied to the teeth by the dentist and activated using UV light or laser. The process takes an average of 1 hour. This procedure is also known as "Laser bleaching".
What is combined teeth whitening?
In this method, bleaching methods are applied in combination at home and in the office. After being applied in the practice or clinic, the procedure is reinforced with bleaching at home for 2 to 3 days.
What should I watch out for after whitening my teeth?
Just like other bleaching methods, all colored beverages such as tea, coffee and wine, non-alcoholic beverages such as cola and tobacco products should be avoided, especially during the first two weeks after the biological bleaching process. Otherwise, teeth may change color early after bleaching.
What is single teeth whitening (internal whitening)?
It is applied to teeth that change color after root canal treatment. The filling inside the tooth is removed, whitening gel is applied to that space, and then the tooth is covered with a temporary filling. The sessions are repeated at intervals of 3 days until the desired color is achieved.
Does internal whitening harm the teeth?
If the root canal filling is well isolated, there is usually no harm.
Is there any harm or side effect of teeth whitening?
Whitening can cause some tooth sensitivity. This sensitivity may be to hot or cold food and drink as well as to the air. This is a normal and expected side effect. Tooth sensitivity is expected to disappear within 24 to 48 hours. A physician should be consulted in an unexpected situation.

How to whiten teeth?
Tooth whitening is the process of removing the colored organic and inorganic substances formed in porous enamel and dentin structures on the surface of the teeth by using bleaching gels.
How long will it take for teeth whitening to work?
It can vary from person to person. The average time for whitening teeth is 2 to 3 weeks. Color changes caused by the use of antibiotics are more difficult to eliminate and in such cases it may take longer to achieve the desired result.
Do I need to clean the bleaching trays?
Bleaching trays should be cleaned. After use, the trays should be washed with cold water and liquid soap, rinsed thoroughly and stored in the tray box provided.
Is teeth whitening permanent?
After bleaching, the teeth gradually become colored over time. The discoloration repeats between 6 months and 1 year depending on the patient's frequency of colored drinks (tea, coffee, wine, coke, etc.) When 1 or 2 sessions are repeated every 4-6 months, whitening becomes permanent.
